Hari (Green) Chutney


Can be used as a side dish for Idlis, Dosas, thepla...spread for sandwiches..

Ingredients:

Mint leaves - One soup bowl
Coriander leaves - One soup bowl
Green chillies ( thinner Indian jalapeƱos) - 2 (for spicy taste)
Garlic pods - 5-6
Cummin seeds - half tsp.
Peanuts - dry fried and de-skinned - 5-6 (more if you like the consistency to be thicker and the mint flavour subdued)
Lime juice - small half a lemon
Salt to taste

(optional  for reduced spice)Sugar - quarter tsp or small piece of jaggery
(optional) Seasoning - oil, mustard, cummin , curry leaves, a pinch of hing (asafoetida)

Grind all the ingredients together in a blender adding water carefully

Adding seasoning later is optional. Enjoy!
